
Weights for Parcels.
Weighing
All parcels are charged upon the weight of the parcel, International consignments are charged on half kilogram intervals and UK Overnight parcels are charged on kilogram intervals. Any fraction above will be charged on the higher rate.
Example
27.2kg = International 27.5kg
27.7kg = National 28kg
If you have equipment please weigh the parcel and complete the consignment note prior to collection from Distributions Solutions. Our drivers will aid you if you are unsure and consignments will be weighed once back at the office.
Weight Conversions

| 16 multiplied by 0.45 = 7.2kg | 16 divided by 2.2 = 7.2kg |
Volumetric Weight
All consignments are charged subject to volumetric weight.
Volumetric Calculation

Example

The actual weight and volumetric weight of the consignments will be compared and whichever is greater will be used as the chargeable rate. If you have despatched parcels which have incurred a volumetric weight or weigh more or less when check weighed that you have stated on the consignment note, then our customer service department will contact you the following morning either through telephone or fax to inform you of the actual weight.
